I never even checked the suggested layout for the Idaho Square blocks that was on the Quiltmaker site below:
http://www.quiltmaker.com/articles/Idaho-Square-Dance?bc=c
The article says I only needed 30 blocks.

Oh my what to do...sell them?

ReplyDeletethey would have needs! Or police station, to give childen they pick up!
oh I doooo love it !! I always end up with extra parts for any quilt I make - but wow, you are WAY over the mark - - too much quilty goodness! Love your posts, Subee, glad you are writing again.
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!!! I can't wIt to have the time to sit down and make these blocks! How exciting to have enough for 7 quilts!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA) larger quilt 2 quilts w 109 squares. B) 7 quilts w 30 each... then you only havea few more., C) 1 larger quilt, and a few smaller ones?
ReplyDeleteSubee that is hilarious! I am so in love with Bonnie Hunter's quilt backs that I OFTEN use extra blocks to enhanced the BACK of a quilt! Since you have SO MANY, you could make a set of quilted place mats for Christmas presents! (I use a quilt for a table cloth too!)
ReplyDeleteTake care and keep on quilting!

Did I hear someone say a swap? lol. I mean you would have to exchange for something else, obviously.

ReplyDeleteOh dear, tooo funny!
ReplyDeleteWell, 30 blocks was the *suggested* layout. If you want to make a quilt to cover your roof or the football field at the high school, you have a good start.
ReplyDeleteSubee I did the same thing with the blocks for 9 in the middle from Bonnie's "Adventures in Leaders and Enders". The pic of the 9 batch said to make 230 so that is what I made. I needed 64. I'm still finding places to use the. If you don't feel like throwing them together for a charity quilt there are people who take orphan blocks. I send mine to Brenda in Idaho and she makes quilts for the local woman's shelter.
