I decided to use up all the blocks I had made. As usual I overdid it but was blessed to be able to get two (2) 60X80 quilts from this mystery. I have only one Christmas Star block left.
It was fate that made me use them all up. I made twice as much sashings as I needed. Duh! I was counting each block instead of each row. Sooooooo....I have two huge quilts now.
I cannot thank Bonnie Hunter (www.quiltville.com) enough for offering us this great mystery. I was never bored with the clues. In fact I was VERY behind some of the other quilters. But did manage to catch up.
I am thinking about making a third one all in scrappy mode.
All gifts are wrapped and am waiting to hear from dear daughter as to the time we will be getting together tomorrow.
Happy holidays to all of you!

What beautiful quilts. Looks like a lot of work was involved. Someone is sure to appreciate these.
lol, you are such an amazing little worker Subee ;-) They're beautiful.
Yours look great- I am so thrilled that the quilters are interperting the patterns in their own way. I have seen some mysterys(challenges) where it seemed everyone wanted to do 'exactly' like the teacher. These are taking on a life of their own. Looks great- Merry Christmas- cw
Those are gorgeous. I plan on making one large quilt for my son but the red in mine is more prominent than I wanted. I am now thinking, thanks to you, that I could tone it down by adding sashing which would make it the size I want without adding large borders. Great food for thought and congratulations on getting them completed. Merry Christmas.
Wow...these are terrific! Great job!
Overachiever, oveachiever!!! LOL They are both just wonderful!
The word VErification is TWAFTS. Is that something like TWILLO?
I really love your quilts! Went back through a few pages of posts and you have just great taste in fabric colors and designs. I will be coming back! ;)
I have been wondering why you picked up the orange crush button with Bonnie's name on it instead of your name?
Happy sewing
i really enjoy the color combination you chose, so dramatic. beautiful work.
I like how you used the sashing to seperate the blocks,, good layout!
