Making some Geese

What does one do when they have an overflowing box of 2 1/2" neutral squares and a bunch of batik 2 1/2" strips?

I am such a "lover" of my EZ Angle rulers that I had to force myself to not use them for this project.
I needed to use up those squares, remember?
And as a bonus I now have 300 2"  triangles.
So, what am I making?
I have no clue...

Here are 150 2 1/2" X 4 1/2" Flying Geese.
And also 300 2" Half Square triangles.

Here is the box where I found the batik strips. These came to me through an exchange a few years ago. This was BEFORE I became one of the swap hostesses on the quiltvilleswap group.
I love batiks...they smell so nice when pressed. And the colors are all so great.

XOXOXOXO Subee

It boggles my mind to think of making 150 flying geese and 300 HSTs "just because". : )

Hey you do like I do, sew them together, eventually you will find the right project that needs them.

I can't wait to see what you turn those into! What a bonus!

Such pretty little packages of "quilt seeds!" Maybe spring planting season will let them grow into great fine quilts.

very nice Sue! I'm nearly finished assembling my Easy Street and everything is perfect...except for those darn flying geese. Even 40 year quilting veterans has some technique that needs some work ;)

As the designer for Eye Fooler, I LOVE your quilt! It has been named Eye Fooler since I designed it a long time ago. There is another quilt in this series called Sparky that I first published in 2012. Thanks so much for choosing my pattern.
