Easy Street- final assembly completed.

I totally loved the journey of sewing.
But it sure is GREEN!!!
I am going to make another quilt using brown and pink but it will not be this big!!!

What a journey!
Bonnie really hooked us!
SO MUCH INVESTED THAT IT WOULD BE TOO MUCH OF A WASTE TO not FINISH THE QUILT!
I had to really focus my energies as final assembly is not a favorite task in my quilting world. I do use L&E's and that helps the task. But long seams with pinning simply tries my patience.

I am not sure if I will even add any more borders to this monster!
It is already 84" square and beyond my own machine quilting margins.

I had to keep rewarding myself to get this assembled.
And also to deny myself a pleasure.

I bought a tiny little gizmo that is a bass amp that does not make any external noise. You plug in headphones and can practice in silence. I did not even open up that puppy until I got this completed. I know me...I go off on tangents...and this quilt would have remained un-assembled for a long time!!!
Finally, I can relax and pursue some music!!!!

I really like your quilt. I was shocked to see how big the blocks are - seeing it on the bed showed this very clearly. I may have read your post to quickly but I didn't see any mention as to whether you liked or wasn't really fond of this pattern.

Looking at your quilt makes me think I should have made one of my own. Hope you are enjoying the music now.

A big investment - all those pieces!! All those seams!! I do like green, and the other colours look good too - refreshing!! I think you've done such a wonderful job!!!

Congrats on finishing the top it looks great. I decided early on that full size was too big for me, I just hope my smaller version doesn't end up too big to quilt myself.

Very nice. Easy Street turned out so pretty. I can smell that bread. I am trying to get the blocks done for Easy Street.

Subee! Your quilt looks amazing! I am plugging along at mine too. I didn't use Our Bonnie's colors- I used darker more masculine colors and I really love it.
think chocolates for the purple, dark/bright blues for turquoise, tan for the grey. It is going on our bed when I get it done!
Thanks for sharing!

FABULOUS!!! I am still plugging along on the 'A' blocks. Your quilt is an inspiration. THANK YOU. I'll keep going...I too, can procrastinate with the best of them!

Great job on your quilt Suebee! I'm not quite finished with mine. The long seams with pinning tries my patience as well. I wish I had some L&E's kitted up before I started putting these blocks together. I've got 5 more "B" blocks to go, so I should probably figure out some L&E's first.

Your quilt is beautiful! Well done! I enjoyed seeing it on the bed to get an idea of the size.

Incredible restraint not plugging it until you finished. It is huge isn't it. I've no idea what I'm going to do with mine (maybe gift to a niece or nephew)

I am plugging along too! Way too much has been happening here to get as far as you did.
I don't like the green either, I did the colors she choose, bc I wanted to expand my color horizan. I'll be giving it away, not sure who.

BTW one cat and a dog like the beds the other one's cats are so shy they won't go near it. I told her to use some catnip!
