NYE Mystery from Fabricholics status

MaggieMay is now 7 months old and feeling hers "oats". Every block I pulled off my stack had to be disengaged from her paw. One little tug and a small bite and she let me have the next block. This lasted through the entire assembly process. Check out how big her paws are!!!!!!
I have almost all the blocks done and could not wait to throw some onto the design wall. Of course the wall is not big enough to handle the king size quilt I am making. But I plan on quilting it in sections anyway so this gives me a good idea of how it will look. I am very proud of my sewing and so very grateful to Ann Smith for designing this beauty.

Here I am at step #7. I decided to double sew all those corners. And ended up with:
160 little half square triangles. They will finish at 1 1/2". I love this process of no waste!

NYE Mystery from Fabricholics

Four patch parade through the machine. I really like making these pieces. Power piecing...no stopping and starting! I bought a 1/4" foot and then ripped the metal guide off ( one came with my machine so I did not alter that one). I love this foot. Gives an accurate 1/4" seam allowance.
I have to keep the kitties from "skating" on them.

I have two of these plastic trays. They are great for moving pieces from the cutting table to the sewing machine. In the background you can see some of my bolts of fabric. I am a true fabricholic.

MaggieMay is sure that I have plenty of room to do my sliver trimming. I found the little brush and dustpan at a dollar store. It works great to sweep my cuttings. And then I brush MaggieMay with it. She loves helping!
